【摘要】:Thesetestmethodscoverthedeterminationoftheamountofdeformationasafunctionoftime(creeptest)andthemeasurementofthetimeforfracturetooccurwhensufficientforceispresent(rupturetest)formaterialswhenunderconstanttensileforcesatconstanttemperature.Italsoincludestheessentialrequirementsfortestingequipment.Forinformationofassistanceindeterminingthedesirablenumberanddurationoftests,referenceshouldbemadetotheproductspecification.Thesetestmethodslisttheinformationwhichshouldbeincludedinreportsoftests.Theintentionistoensurethatallusefulandreadilyavailableinformationistransmittedtointerestedparties.Reportsreceivespecialattentionforthefollowingreasons:(1)resultsfromdifferent,recognizedproceduresvarysignificantly;therefore,identificationofmethodsusedisimportant;(2)laterstudiestoestablishimportantvariablesareoftenhamperedbythelackofdetailedinformationinpublishedreports;(3)thenatureofprolongedtestsoftenmakesretestimpractical,andatthesametimemakesitdifficulttoremainwithintherecommendedvariationsofsomecontrolledvariables.Adetailedreportpermitstransmittaloftestresultswithoutimplyingadegreeofcontrolwhichwasnotachieved.Testsonnotchedspecimensarenotincluded.ThesetestsareaddressedinPracticeE292.Testsunderconditionsofshorttimesarenotincluded.ThesetestmethodsareaddressedinTestMethodsE21.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
