【摘要】:1.1Thisstandardisacompilationofterminologyrelatedtometalliccoatingsusedinthesteelindustry,andtothesteelonwhichthecoatingsareapplied.Termsthataregenerallyunderstoodoradequatelydefinedinotherreadilyavailablesourcesarenotincluded.1.2WhenatermisusedinanASTMdocumentforwhichCommitteeA05isresponsibleitisincludedhereinonlywhenjudged,afterreviewbySubcommitteeA05.18,tobeagenerallyusableterm.1.3DefinitionsthatareidenticaltothosepublishedbyotherASTMcommitteesorotherstandardsorganizationsareidentifiedwiththeASTMstandarddesignation(forexample,TerminologyB374)orwiththeabbreviationofthenameoftheorganization.1.4Adefinitionisasinglesentencewithadditionalinformationincludedinnotes.Theyearthedefinitionwasadopted,ortheyearoflatestrevision,isappended.Theresponsiblesubcommitteereviewsthedefinitionforeachtermatfive-yearintervals,andpreparesrevisionsasneeded.
