【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesthesecurityrequirementsforacryptographicmoduleutilizedwithinasecuritysystemprotectingsensitiveinformationincomputerandtelecommunicationsystems.ThisInternationalStandarddefinesfoursecuritylevelsforcryptographicmodulestoprovideforawidespectrumofdatasensitivity(e.g.,lowvalueadministrativedata,milliondollarfundstransfers,andlifeprotectingdata)andadiversityofapplicationenvironments(e.g.,aguardedfacility,anoffice,andacompletelyunprotectedlocation).Foursecuritylevelsarespecifiedforeachof10requirementareas.Eachsecurityleveloffersanincreaseinsecurityovertheprecedinglevel.WhilethesecurityrequirementsspecifiedinthisInternationalStandardareintendedtomaintainthesecurityprovidedbyacryptographicmodule,compliancetothisInternationalStandardisnotsufficienttoensurethataparticularmoduleissecureorthatthesecurityprovidedbythemoduleissufficientandacceptabletotheowneroftheinformationthatisbeingprotected.
