【摘要】:Uponmutualagreementbetweenthepurchaserandthesupplier,wovenandknittedproductsintendedforthisenduseshouldmeetalloftherequirementslistedinTable1ofthisspecification.Itisrecognizedthatforpurposesoffashionoraesthetics,theultimateconsumerofarticlesmadefromthesefabricsmayfindacceptableproductsthatdonotconformtoalloftherequirementsinTable1.Therefore,oneormoreoftherequirementslistedinTable1maybemodifiedbymutualagreementbetweenthepurchaserandthesupplier.Insuchcases,anyreferencestothespecificationshallspecifythat:x201C;ThisproductmeetsASTMSpecification____exceptforthefollowingcharacteristic(s).x201D;Wherenoprepurchaseagreementhasbeenreachedbetweenthepurchaserandthesupplier,andincaseofcontroversy,therequirementslistedinTable1areintendedtobeusedasaguideonly.Asnotedin4.2,ultimateconsumerdemandsdictatevaryingperformanceparametersforanyparticularproduct.Theusesandsignificanceofparticularpropertiesandtestmethodsarediscussedintheappropriatesectionsofthespecifiedtestmethods.ForadditionalinformationseeTestMethodsD629,PracticeD1776,andGuideD3938.98Top1.1Thisspecificationcoverstheevaluationofspecificperformancecharacteristicsofimportanceinwovenandknitflat,fitted,andwaterbedsheetproductsforuseininstitutionalandhouseholdenvironments.1.2Thisspecificationmaybeusedbymutualagreementbetweenthepurchaserandthesuppliertoestablishpurchasingspecificationrequirements.1.3TherequirementsinTable1applytothelengthandwidthdirectionsforthosepropertieswherefabricdirectionispertinent.1.4Thisspecificationisnotapplicabletowovenandknitproductsusedforsheetblanketsortowovenandknittedsheetproductsusedforapparel.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.TABLE1SpecificationRequirementsCharacteristics
